Welp, that’s a wrap folks! Admittedly, I’m beat and ready to turn the computer off for the next two weeks. BUT, I have a few more things (ok like a bazillion) in the pipes, a few of which we will share over the next few days. THEN I’m focussing on Christmas and my family and we’ll catch you here again after the New Year. There are a few more giveaways running for a couple more days – so be sure to check them out if you missed any!

Today is your chance to go out and get the gear that YOU need/want from two of my very favorite shops.

Prize #2: $50 Gift Card to Garage Grown Gear

A couple years ago now, I met Amy through a mutual friend for the first time. We hit it off quickly because we shared a love of gear. Oh and had kids too…

She spoke with about her idea for Garage Grown Gear for featuring small USA-made gear that also take steps to minimize environmental impacts.  It was in the very baby stages and has been a work in progress for a long time now. Fast forward to now – it’s awesome seeing the shop in full running mode. Garage Grown Gear compliments stores like Sierra Trading Post in that they sell gear and work with brands not necessarily found in those stores. Like she says, they’re “wildly cool”.

“We offer people an alternative to the homogenized, compromised gear served up by big box brands that would rather pinch pennies than make the best gear,” said Amy Hatch, the company’s CEO and founder.

I’m so proud of where Amy has taken her idea – and can’t wait to see it expand and grow over the years!

The shop is truly full of “wildly cool” gear, but I have to give a shout-out to Skida. I’ve been wearing and LOVING a few of their headbands and hats. If you are a hat/headband gal (or guy), definitely check them out.
