Babywearing in Nasty Weather + Giveaway

I have a baby attached to me 90% of my waking hours. Sometimes for her sake (she is a baby and wants to be held!) and sometimes for mine (I want to go on a walk/hike/chase my other kids). However, while I think baby-wearing is the #1 thing that has saved my sanity over the years, it definitely takes some getting used to. Sometimes I love having her right there, and let’s be honest, sometimes I just want no one touching me for 5 seconds thankyouverymuch.

Besides all that, my biggest challenge is the changing conditions throughout the day as I am wearing her: going outside, staying inside, storms coming in, sun coming out, etc. While wearing an extra large jacket or throwing a light blanket over you (and the baby) sometimes works, it’s certainly not ideal. I rely heavily on a few pieces of gear that help me get out with her and not have to think too much about it.

I want to highlight my newest “BBF” (babywearing best friend), but will be listing and linking up to a bunch of other products I use and love (and recommend, of course).

Meet Little Goat Carrier Cover. I use this every single day (and not JUST for over my carrier). It also works over car seats, strollers, and as a blanket for any kid in a pinch. **be sure to see a giveaway for this one at the end of this post!**

Quick highlights (and you can read our full review here):

    • Can be modified for different weather conditions (windy, warm, cold, wet, etc.) just by removing or adding the minkie liner.
    • Minkie lined front pocket for keeping the wearers’ hands warm
    • Adjustable shock cord
    • Lots of room to allow for larger children to be covered and be able to move freely
    • Attached hood
    • The cover attaches to the carrier itself so you can leave it on the carrier all the time if you wish.

I also love these options for keeping baby warm (all images link to our previous reviews):
