Next up in The Great Babywearing Project is our Onya NexStep Review. We’ve fallen in love with this carrier as a great go-to for traveling and carrying all three of our kids (though not at the same time, of course…)
Some quick favorites about the NexStep:
- It is comfortable and easily adjustable for both Mtn Papa and I, and is made with careful attention to detail
- Since it works for babies from essentially birth (with the Baby Booster) to 70 pounds, it’s one of those carriers that you know will work for any kid, anytime.
- It doubles as a chair harness
- It’s a GREAT carrier for hiking, traveling and exploring

For the Dads: Keep ’em Close and Carry On Giveaway
Dads wearing babies/kids is something near and dear to my heart. Wearing kids is NOT “just for the moms” and is a wonderful opportunity for dads to bond with their kiddos.
Father’s Day is coming up one week from today. We are thrilled to honor our own Mtn Papa, our dads, and Dads around the world who are committed to their children, their families and a healthy, active and outdoor upbringing.
Mtn Papa is often the driving force and reason that we can get out as a family like we do. He makes the sacrifices necessary to be sure we are all out there – including hauling heavy kids and gear.
Today we are teaming with two other DAD bloggers- Paul of The Outdoor Adventure and R.C. of Going Dad – to give away some Onya Baby carriers. The guys will be giving away an Outback model, and we’re excited to give away a NexStep.
Also check out this great video that Paul put together. As a father of 4, and an outdoor family, they know how to get out there! Thanks, Paul for this inspiration!
