O.F.F. = Outdoor Fashion Friday….this week a day early just because….
Our (almost) weekly segment featuring our favorite styles for the season. Everything I share are pieces that can be worn all day long and stand up to the “use and abuse” of serious adventures. As a family, we appreciate clothing that is worth our hard-earned money. It’s what we wear and trust!
I’ve had clothing from ExOfficio for years now, but was particularly drawn to their new Give ‘N Go Sport Mesh underwear for this season (available for men and women in different styles – bikini and hipkini). Particularly as the weather heats up and/or I sweat, cotton underwear are a real bummer. The briefs are soft and comfortable, wear well and are easily washed and hung to dry for wearing the next day (perfect for travel or backpacking/camping). I’ll be purchasing more of these for this summer.
Sunscreen and I don’t get along very well, so I have been looking lately for shirts that keep me covered and cool. Lucky for me, there are more and more options out there. ExOfficio’s Sol Cool Ultimate hoody feels good on my skin, has side and hood mesh “vents”, can be cinched up or down on the sides for added or decreased length. It also has a high neck and a hood for a little extra sun protection if needed. Even better? It’s stylish and goes with almost anything.
Finally, the Kukura skort is great for both trail and everyday wear. The shorts under the skirt are wicking and have just enough length to stay put. Until the weather warms up a little more, I have been wearing it over leggings, which totally works too. Stretchy, a “hidden” zippered pocket in the regular hand pockets and cute flair. One of my favorites!
ExOfficio generously provided us this gear in order to facilitate this review. However, as always, the opinions expressed here are completely and honestly our own.
