O.F.F. = Outdoor Fashion Friday.
Our (almost) weekly segment featuring our favorite styles for the season. Everything I share are pieces that can be worn all day long and stand up to the “use and abuse” of serious adventures. As a family, we appreciate clothing that is worth our hard-earned money. It’s what we wear and trust!
While I’ve been eyeing them up for months now, we were able to have our first go-around with Fjallraven clothing (from Sweeden) over the past few weeks. Thanks to a steal of a deal at Sierra Trading Post, J and P have been using their Vidda Outdoor Pants for hiking, camping and playing.
The Vidda is a lightweight pant with a UPF 50+ and comes in European sizes. The pants boast G-1000® fabric that keeps them protected from wind, sticks and abrasion while still maintaining an excellent range of motion. They also have multiple pockets for treasures and small gear.
My favorite feature is the fact that they adjust incredibly well to different sizes. There is an internal waist adjustment and the pant cuffs can be snapped shut to keep longer pants from getting in the way.
The reinforced knees and bum mean these pants will be around for a long time.
Originally they are $150, but on sale at Sierra Trading post right now for $69. I know that’s still a lot to pay for a pair of pants, but consider them an investment to pass down and the kind of pants your kids could literally wear every day almost year-round.
You can save even more money by using the special coupon code below. I so appreciate you clicking through these affiliate links to use it. It doesn’t cost you a dime and helps us out just a tiny bit.
p.s. European sizes can be tricky, so here’s a chart I snagged from online to help you out (it’s what I used to order the boys’ pants).
Thanks to our partnership with Sierra Trading Post, they generously provided us this gear in order to facilitate this review. However, as always, the opinions expressed here are completely and honestly our own. A few of these links are affiliates. Thank you so much for clicking through them to make your purchases – it helps offset the cost of this blog in a (VERY VERY) small way! You can find my full disclosure here.
