Sometimes we like to take a day and just show off a particular brand if we really love their products. Today we’re focusing on Nite Ize. We’ve used their products for a few years now and really have been pleased with how they perform, especially for camping trips. Please note that the links in this post are affiliates. Thank you so much for clicking through them to purchase for your loved ones (or yourself)! It doesn’t cost you a dime and helps us just a little, tiny bit!
These are possibly my favorite totally functional piece of gear. We use them ALL the time, and not just for conventional uses. They’re great for binding up skis so they don’t come apart in transit, for tying together wires, for keeping our bundle of roasting sticks together, etc. Their unique design gives them pliable shape that you can bend into however you need them to work for you. They also come in a wide variety of sizes to suit all your needs. Some of them are huge (perfect for forming hooks) and there are some that are just a couple inches long (not shown in photo below).
They’re the perfect stocking stuffer…or just small gift for almost anyone. We keep them on hand almost everywhere.
- Attaching kid skis to the back of the Chariot when they’re too tired to go further
- Adding snack cups to a stroller
- Hanging backpacks (even on bear boxes…see below)
- Keeping kids busy in the car (so much better than just pipe cleaners)
Our kids have these and LOVE them. They use them particularly when camping, but would use them daily if I let them (we try to keep them with the camping stuff). The light is bright enough for what they need, but not so bright as to blind each other. They also love the fact that they can attach them almost anywhere. In the camper they hook them on as personal nightlight near where they sleep. We just turn them off once we go to bed.
This headlamp is unique because you just swipe the top to easily switch between modes. We think it comes with a bit of a learning curve since it is so different than the push-button headlamps we are used to. However, once you get used to it, it’s SO easy to go between modes and turn it on and off. It also has a Red LED option for preserving night vision. This also great when you’re digging out gear or clothing while camping and others are sleeping (perfect for parents). I love that the white light so bright, especially when we’re camping and know the bears are out and ornery getting ready to hibernate. The picture below doesn’t do the illumination justice, but it’s at least an example!
Nite Ize has plenty more products, but these are a few of our favorites. They may be showing up in stockings around here again this year too…
Nite Ize generously provided us this gear in order to facilitate this review. However, as always, the opinions expressed here are completely and honestly our own. If you’ve found this review helpful, you always appreciate you supporting us (see the top of the right sidebar for directions on how to make a donation for our efforts)! Thank you!
