Gifts to Use Everyday
So many of our adventures are the everyday kind as mothers. It is trips to the park, the soccer or baseball field, or just playing in the backyard. These items are a few that can make the everyday fell good and be more comfortable.
Olukai Ohana Flip Flops
I can’t go barefoot for long without aching arches and heels so in the summer I live in supportive flip flops. In fact, I have a clean “house” pair and “dirty” outdoor pair. These flip flops from Olukai have good arch support and the smooth leather sole feels cooler than rubber in hot weather. The next color options are fun too!
L.L. Bean Airlight Pullover
Multiple moms in my friend group have this lightweight pullover and live in it in the spring and summer. It comes in sizes for everyone: petite, regular, tall and plus. I love the petite fit; it has a relaxed fit that keeps me cool in the summer.
Title Nine Clamber Hiking Capris
A cropped or capri length pant is so nice in warm weather. Sometimes you need or want to have your knees covered when hiking, climbing on rocks or working in the yard. These pants from Title Nine are made from a durable fabric, have good pockets and are made from a recycled material. The Clamber capri pants come in several colors so she can find a look she loves.
Gifts for a Mom Who Loves a New Bag
Does your wife, mother, or another important person in your life love to have everything they could need with them? A new crossbody bag, tote bag or even a cooler could be a fun gift.

Two years in and I still like this crossbody bag for daily use and in fact would like a second more springy color. I love the size for carrying a regular sized wallet and all the miscellaneous things I want to keep on me. It has 1 exterior and 1 interior zipper pocket and two small interior stay pockets that I keep chapstick, lotion, a mini pill bottle and more in.
RTIC Backpack Cooler
We have had this affordable cooler from RTIC for years now. It is great for a day trip or a picnic. It also fits team drinks and snacks for after soccer and baseball games. While it is not designed to keep items cold for days on end, it is also not priced like those that are. With multiple color choices, you can find one that fits her personality and needs. I like the way our dark one doesn’t show dirt.
Cotopaxi Todo Convertible Tote
If a mom in your life likes to carry a tote bag, consider upgrading it to a tote that also is a backpack. This is perfect for travel when a zipper closure is more secure and it is nice to switch from backpack to in front of you as needed.
Gifts for Mom to Take Camping
Camping with kids is fun and rewarding but not necessarily relaxing. Consider a gift for a mom in your life that adds just a bit of relaxation to her camping trip. The great thing about these gifts is she will find them useful well beyond the next camping trip.
REI Camp Low Chair
A chair that fits just right is so nice when Mom finally gets to sit down. I have an older version of this chair for car camping and just sitting in the yard with the kids. The padding plus the lack of a bar that digs into the legs are key features for me.
Insulated Camp Mug
A hot cup of coffee is such a pleasure in the morning. When camping, it is a little harder to keep it hot, so get her a good insulated mug. A good lid means it won’t spill while she chases after kids.
Rumpl Blanket
There are so many good uses for a packable blanket. Staying warm while sipping coffee (or an evening beverage), an extra layer in the tent, or an emergency blanket in the car. I keep one in the car all winter and bring it on all car camping trips.
Gifts for Fun in the Sun
Summer is coming which for many mothers means more time in the sun and outside or on the beach. This fun hat from Skida and sunglasses from Goodr will protect her from the sun, look great and handle the hard use that everything moms wear daily can get. If last minute picnics or beach trips are common in her life, consider the beach blanket, it is so nice to have a clean and dry place to sit.

Grand Trunk Parasheet Beach Blanket
We were sitting on a beach with friends a couple summers ago and they had this tiny packable nylon blanket to sit on. I had a packable towel and as the damp sand slowly soaked my shorts, I looked at their blanket and thought wouldn’t that be nice. This tiny, packable blanket is perfect for tossing in a backpack just in case. It has corner sand pockets and loops for staking it down if needed.
Goodr Sunglasses
These are the sunglasses always in my car and the ones I take on any trip that I may use and abuse them. I love that the approachable price of Goodr sunglasses means I don’t need to feel guilty when I drop them, sit on them and so on. I personally prefer amber lenses and the way they brighten color. Their National Park collection is fun and helps support the National Parks Foundation.
Gifts for Mom to Use on Wet Days
Wet weather is sometime unavoidable, so help her be prepared and comfortable with these gifts. Staying dry both by keeping the rain off and by moving the moisture away from the skin are key in staying comfortable when it is wet.

A number of our TMM team swear by wool for staying warm, staying cool and staying dry. On wet day, a wicking t-shirt will help her stay comfortable under that rain jacket.
