Outdoor Stocking Stuffers Under $25

1. Kula Cloth

This is a great stocking stuff for any female on your list. We have used these for years and always make sure we have them on our packs for adventures. Cute prints disguise what’s really hanging on your bag and the other side has antimicrobial absorbent material. Just pee, pat dry, fold and snap and get back to the trail. Great for kids too!

2. Noso Patches

Don’t throw away that holey jacket! Grab some NoSo patches and repair it instead! We love that these come in a variety of shapes, patterns, sizes, and colors. A simple stocking stuffer for anyone. They even collaborate with big name brands and have branded patches, typically on the brand’s website.

3. Bottle Bright Bottle Cleaning Tablets

These fizzy tablets help clean your bottles. Pop them in and let it do its things. We have been using these to help clean all parts of the bottle, including straw stops, just put a tablet in a bowl of water with the lids.

4. Adventure Maps

Maps make great stocking stuffers! Get a map for an upcoming trip or a trip they would love to take someday. We love the waterproof, tear resistant maps for our adventures.

5. Suunto Compass

A compass is an important piece of survival equipment for anyone spending time in the backcountry. Knowing how to use it is equally important. Take a class and practice in your backyard before you head out.

A lightweight, durable mug is essential for many backpackers and campers. Toaks is a brand we have trusted for years. Perfect for oatmeal, tea, or collecting some blueberries along the trail.

7. Pocket Guides

We also love these Pocket Naturalist Guides from James Kavanagh and have several for different areas we live and have visited.

8. Gear Aid Gear Repair

Gear repair supplies make great stocking stuffers, small and most often not too expensive, but can really save the day out on adventures. Some team favorites include Tenacious tape, Aqua Seal, and nylon patches.

9. Smartwool Merino Reversible Headband

These are one of my favorite winter headbands. Merino wool keeps it stink free, even after sweaty XC skiing adventures. You can even get matching hats and the whole family can coordinate.

A safety whistle is always good to have when exploring (along with the 10 essentials). This whistle has a waterproof pea and can be heard in multiple directions, with an appropriate pitch.

11. Trivia Cards

Trivia cards are great conversation starters around the campfire, boredom busters on road trips or just an easy way to increase your knowledge a little at a time.

12. Collapsible Cups

These collapsible cups are very convenient for all sorts of adventures. TMM Team Member Laura and her family used them on their thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail. They mostly used them for hot cocoa!

13. GoToob Reusable Squeeze Bottles

These little bottles are handy for the traveler, great for toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. I love that they have a flip lock to keep from accidentally opening. They are also food safe!

14. Portable Air Pump

This little thing was a huge breath saver on our last beach vacation, I used it to blow up all our floaties and it worked great. You can use for sleeping pads, pool floaties, balls, and more. You can also use to deflate, which was very helpful in getting all our floaties back in our bag.

15. UCO Leschi Lantern

TMM Team Member Jess’ family really enjoys this little lantern. It is a 110 lumen lantern and LED flashlight in one.

22. Nalgene Bottle

One of the originals, this water bottle is more than just a water bottle. Store a first aid kit, put in snacks, make a hot water bottle to sleep with and more. This is the original 32oz size, but Nalgene makes all sorts of sizes to meet your needs.

23. Black Light Flashlight

You might be wondering why this might be here, but there are lots of things in nature that glow under black light! TMM Team Member Mary has used them to find scorpions. You can also use them to find certain minerals or even fungus.

24. Petzl Tikkana Headlamp

This was one of my very first headlamps, and its still a great option for a budget friendly or beginner headlamp. It puts out 300 lumens of light with three brightness levels and can run on AAA batteries or the Petzl Core rechargeable battery (not included).

25. Gerber LST Mini Folding Knife

This lightweight folding pocket knife might be little, but its sharp. Great for pockets, keeping in the car, or your adventure bag.

Outdoorsy Gift Cards

If you still haven’t found that perfect item for a stocking, then a gift card in any amount would make a great choice! We love gift cards to some of our favorite outdoor retailers like REI, Backcountry, L.L.Bean, and Title Nine.
